Capstone Believers Campground

Laur, Nueva Ecija

Bro Bill Hershberger was invited to preach the Easter Youth Camp at Capstone Believers Campground in Laur, Nueva Ecija, Philippines.

The camp is situated in the mountains close to a US military base. The believers bought the land and have been developing it into this campground from ground up. One of the young brothers had saved enough money to buy a Ford Raptor. Instead of buying the truck he felt on his heart to take the money and buy the land on which the campground is located. 

Around 700 youth and over 300 adults from around the nation attended the camp. Some travelled as long as 30 hours by car and ferry to get to the services. There were 4 youth services from Wednesday to Saturday with a prayer line at the end of Friday night service. The Lord blessed the sincere desires of the people. At the end of the week 32 souls were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ in a makeshift baptismal tank.

Since the camp facilities are still in the process of being built, many of the structures are incomplete. The roof of the sanctuary has a tarp with numerous holes due to it’s age. During a time when there should have been downpours of rain, the Lord kept the rains and the people and equipment stayed dry. With the power still being unstable, the brothers hired a local electrical company which sent 3 workers to be on standby/backup with a generator in case the power went out. On Friday night as the prayer line was going on these 3 men respectfully observed. The Lord moved on one of these men’s hearts and he started to enter in and ended up going through the prayer line himself.
